Overview
In contrast to many documentaries about today’s military, Major Rockstar is about entertainment. Similar films in its genre focus on war, oppression, terror, and fear. This casts an unfortunate shadow on the image of our armed forces. Audiences rarely get a glimpse of MOSs (Military Occupancy Skills) that focus on art and music. Many don’t even know of their existence, and perhaps this helps reinforce stereotypes and judgments.
